The Friends of the Annville Free Library is holding its Fifth Annual Used Book Sale from April 19th– 22nd, 2017. The sale is open to the public and will be held at the Annville United Methodist Church, located at the corner of College Avenue and Main Street.
Between 12,000 and 15,000 gently used books will be available for sale. In addition to a large selection of current fiction, books have been sorted for easy browsing into over 60 genres, such as history, gardening, children’s and travel. This year’s special donations included a large collection of fly-fishing books, a great deal of home school and teacher materials, and several fine art, music, and literature collections. Hardcover books are priced at $2 while paperbacks sell for $1 a piece. A nice assortment of rare and collectible books will also be offered.
The book sale kicks off Wednesday evening with an early bird sale from 6:00 – 8:30 pm. For an admission price of $5.00 per adult, readers can beat the crowds and have first pick of the thousands of available books. The three-day main sale is free to the public. Sale hours are 10:00 am to 8:00 pm on Thursday and Friday, and 9:00 am – 2:00 pm on Saturday. A $2.00 bag sale will take place all day Saturday, at which shoppers will be provided with bags that they may fill to the brim. In addition, volunteers from Annville United Methodist Church will be selling lunch items, Mr Sticky’s famous homemade sticky buns, and beverages daily during the four-day sale.
