This January marks my fourth consecutive "Dry January," a personal journey that has not only transformed my relationship with alcohol but has also allowed me to face life's difficulties head-on without the crutch of a drink.

Navigating the holidays as an empty nester 

As I sit down to reflect on this holiday season, I find myself enveloped in a symphony of emotions— a unique blend of grief and pride that comes with the territory of being a newly empty nester.

Now that I have children of my own, I have to confess this time of year isn't always fun, mainly because I suffer from "mom guilt" for not creating the same magic my childhood Christmases had.
