Savings after hours

There are some great deals to be had if you are willing to wait until later in the day. Here are a few I found in Central Pennsylvania:

The pool is cool

In Franklin County, my local pool offers a deep discount on admission for patrons entering after 5 pm. This works great for me because my kids don’t do well in the heat of the day. The Lemoyne Borough pool, Manheim Township pools and Derry Township pool also offers reduced rates after 5 p.m. Be sure to call your local pool to see if you can take advantage of this option.

Theme park savings

Want Hersheypark but not the high prices? Visit the park beginning at 5 p.m. for big ticket savings. Just look into the ‘Sunset Pass’ at www.hersheypark.com for more info.

Dutch Wonderland offers a Twilight Rate that is valid for three hours prior to closing. Visit www.dutchwonderland.com for more info.

Field trip tip     

Looking for something educational to do with your kids in the city but don’t want to pay a lot? Head to the National Constitution Center in historic Philadelphia for $5 after 5 p.m. on special dates in the summer.
