Tales from a Mom-to-be
Showered with love
Bean Pole, Ryder and I are a very lucky family! This weekend was my baby shower. My mother, stepmother and mother-in-law worked together to create an amazing afternoon!
We are so blessed to have so many people love and care for us!
There were games, prizes, food and CAKE!
The games were a lot of fun and the food was fantastic!
And who knew you could make a “cake” out of diapers?
I enjoyed every minute of it. (Who doesn’t like being spoiled?)
My little man is well clothed for at least the first three months of his life and we will never have to buy another blanket again.
I have to admit it was even fun to go home and wash five loads of baby laundry and spend countless hours folding, organizing and putting together items. (Although I suspect laundry won’t be that much fun in a few months).
I hope every expectant mother is able to experience the thrill of a shower. But it’s not just about getting cool stuff.
I can finally say it’s really sinking in that a baby is on the way now!
I am very thankful to have such awesome people my life! Less than 3 months to go! Let the countdown begin!
What was your favorite/most useful baby gift? Let me know!

I had a great friend give me some Sandra Boynton books. Loved, loved, loved reading them to my kids...especially Moo, Baa, La, La, La. It was a fun way to bond. Another favorite was a johnny jump up. My kids loved that and it helped to get some of their energy out in a safe way before they could walk or even crawl. Also, it was so funny watching them jump around. That is a MUST HAVE!!
ENJOY!!
We got that book AND the Johnny Jump Up! Sandra Boynton, most people don't realize, has a lot of songs to accompany her books. I need to find a CD of them! Instead of buying me greeting cards, the moms asked for guests to bring books with a personal note inside them. So we received a TON of new books and have been reading him a new one every night. Last night we read a little golden book :) Jill, how old are your kiddo's now?
It's hard to believe...but they are already 12 and 14!
