Fall opens with family fun in Ronks
With fall officially starting tomorrow, many harvest-themed destinations are open for business.
While most offer food and pumpkin picking, few can boast more than 50 activities for families like Cherry Crest Adventure Farm of Lancaster County. The farm, at 150 Cherry Hill Road, Ronks, opens today with a host of activities for kids and adults.
One of the highlights of the farm is the baseball-themed Amazing Maize Maze, which includes an interactive game and fun diversions throughout that put wanderers into baseball-themed challenges, such as trivia and a speed pitch machine. Visitors can also try the maze at night with a flashlight at the Flashlight Maze.
In addition to the maze, the farm offers the Courtyard, where families can enjoy wagon rides, pedal karts, a bucking bronco ride, a farm education center and a baby chick hatchery.
The Barnyard features an obstacle course, hay tunnel, sling shots and jumping pillows, which are essentially trampolines for little—and big kids.
General admission is $15 Thursday and Friday and $18 Saturdays for ages 3 and older. Kids 2 or younger are free. Admission includes the farm activities and the maze.
