Don’t forget to ask this Thursday

Jun 19, 2012 - 08:16 AM

National Ask Day takes place annually on the first day of summer, June 21—a time of year when children more often play in homes other than their own.

On that day, the Center to Prevent Youth Violence reminds parents to find out what kind of an environment their child is playing in. The first question parents should ask is “Is there a gun where my child plays?”

Other questions include:

  • Will you be home?
  • Can I give you my number in case of emergency?
  • Is there a dog in your house?
  • Will children be playing in the pool?
  • How many children will be there?
