Sew for the community

Jan 23, 2013 - 08:35 AM

Seamsters of Central Pennsylvania are getting together to use their skills for the good of the community.

Sewin’ Sisters Sowing is holding its tenth Sew Much for Charity and Free Fabric Event, a networking activity for people who crochet, knit or sew. The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 16, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 210 Main St., Hummelstown.

Crocheting, knitting and sewing groups from around the area are encouraged to sew for their favorite charities while enjoying a light lunch and free fabric.

The event is free, but interested parties must RSVP with Marcellene Currens at 561-9964, by Saturday, March 10.
