Dinosaurs come to Harrisburg

Apr 11, 2013 - 08:27 AM

Imagine 14 roaring, stomping dinosaurs—walking right next to you.

Kids can get a taste of the dinos this summer at The Whitaker Center.

The Dino Adventure exhibit features life-sized dinosaur robots that roar, feed, fight and care for their young. Popular creatures include Tyrannosaurus Rex, Stegosaurus, Triceratops and the web-winged Pteranodon.

Kids can be their favorite dinosaur in the interactive simulator pods, where guests experience life within a virtual Cretaceous ecosystem. Young paleontologists can try their hand at uncovering bones at the Dino Dig exhibit.

Dig deeper into the dinosaur’s world with an IMAX 3D showing of Dinosaurs Alive. Narrated by Michael Douglas, the film explores some of the greatest dinosaur finds in history and brings dinosaurs to life on a six-story screen.

Dino Adventure is on display June 1 to September 1. For more information, visit www.whitakercenter.org.
