Cyber Schools

Commonwealth Connections Academy (CCA) is an award-winning, tuition-free, public cyber school that allows students in kindergarten through 12th grade to attend school from home. CCA brings a fully accredited public education directly to your family’s door—anywhere in Pennsylvania.

Authorized under state law by PDE, CCA is operated by the Commonwealth Connections Academy Charter School, a nonprofit corporation, through a contract with Connections Academy, LLC, to provide its educational program and other services. CCA is accredited by Middle States Association, one of six regional accrediting organizations for higher education institutions recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation and the United States Department of Education. Connections Academy is a division of Connections Education, which is accredited by AdvancED.

Commonwealth Connections Academy isn’t simply a Pennsylvania online school. It’s a supportive community of students of varying backgrounds, strengths, and challenges; parents and Learning Coaches dedicated to their students’ education; and Community Coordinators who bring it all together with field trips and social activities.

At CCA, we’re committed to retaining the best state-certified teachers available and to giving them all the resources necessary to help each student succeed. Trained and experienced in online learning and virtual classroom management, our dedicated teachers provide engaging and effective classroom instruction, individualized attention, ongoing communication with students and Learning Coaches, and personalized instructional programs with continuous progress tracking.

Our mobile classroom is a full-sized, 38-foot vehicle traveling across the state so that all CCA students will be able to enjoy hands-on educational activities like astronomy observation, stream studies, and reading lessons! It’s not only equipped with wireless Internet access, computers, digital media, interactive smartboards, microscopes, and all the other equipment needed to conduct complete science labs, but also brings our caring, committed teachers to cities and towns across the state throughout the year. CCA is the only cyber school in Pennsylvania to offer students this unique opportunity for learning and social interaction with teachers and students.

The CCA curriculum is designed by national education experts and customized to meet the specific standards of the Pennsylvania Department of Education. Bringing together the best in print and online resources with Connections Academy proprietary instructional tools, the CCA curriculum is designed to engage students of every level and makes learning fun!
