Art of the Build: Rods & Kustoms

By treating each custom vehicle as a piece of sculpture, the museum has planned this display as an art installation, celebrating each item for what it has become, not lamenting of what it once was. Tour de France Bike Raffle

We are offering a bike of your choice, valued at up to $450, to our lucky raffle winner. Tickets are now on sale and will be sold through the drawing date of July 27  or until 500 tickets are sold, whichever comes first. Blueberries & Books

It’s again time to order your fresh New Jersey blueberries to benefit the Cleve J. Fredricksen Library.  A 10-pound box is still just $30.  Order now with delivery expected June 26 – just in time for July 4th picnics!  All blueberries must be picked up on the designated delivery day, as we are unable to store them overnight.

Native Americans Along the Susquehanna

Students and home schoolers in grades 2 – 6 explore how Indians once lived in the Fort Hunter/Harrisburg area. Students will furnish a wigwam, make a piece of pottery and participate in storytelling. Mother Goosie Storytime

This event occurs weekly on Monday and Thursday.

During the Thursday sessions the first 10 minutes will be geared to all ages of children from 18 months to 5 years, followed by 20 minutes just for 3 to 5 year olds. The parents of the younger children will be asked to leave the story corner, taking their children to choose books, to bond with them, etc. Parents do not need to stay with their older children. Ages 2 through 5.

Sensory Friendly Earth Day

Help spread awareness for autism this Earth Day with sensory-friendly activities that celebrate nature. Get a hands-on experience with our collections at the Nature Touch Table and spend some time with our live animals. Create something new with recyclables at our Reuse-it craft table.
