Dutch Wonderland will reopen on July 18

It’s been months in the making, but Dutch Wonderland is finally ready to open for the season.

And if you want to go, you’re going to have to plan ahead.

It’s going to look a little different than previous years, but the park will open to the public on July 18. Season passholders will be given four appreciation dates beginning July 14 to get a look at the park before the general public.

Adhering closely to CDC guidelines in response to COVID-19, the park will be implementing strengthened sanitation procedures and new safety measures for the health of all team members and guests.

The new safety measures include limiting capacity, temperature checks on entry, face coverings, social distancing, added sanitizing stations and enhanced cleaning measures.

“The health and safety of our guests and team members continue to be our top priority as we work to reopen in this new environment,” General Manager Laura Charles said. “We will continue working in step with local leaders, health experts and our industry colleagues to ensure best practices are in place at Dutch Wonderland.”

The biggest change is that walk-up sales will not be available this season. Visitors will have to RSVP online for the day they want to visit, even if you have a season pass.

This allows officials to limit the number of people using the park on a daily basis.

All guests and team members will be required to have their temperatures read before entering the park. Any person exhibiting a temperature of 100.4º F or higher will be denied entry.

Guests over 3 years of age will be required to wear face masks, except on water attractions.

“We will serve our guests safely and effectively by limiting capacity, verifying all entrants do not a temperature of 100.4º F or higher and are wearing proper facial coverings, and following the CDC’s recommendations on cleaning, social distancing and sanitizing,” Charles said. “As a premiere destination for family fun, we have the space to effectively distance our visitors and provide the good, clean fun that Dutch Wonderland has been known for over the past six decades.”
