Guests with autism spectrum disorder or other sensory-related sensitivities, and their families and caregivers, can participate in a special morning of chocolate and fun at The Hershey Story Museum on Saturday, June 1, 2019, from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
In addition to molding a chocolate bar, participants will have the opportunity to experience what working in Mr. Hershey’s chocolate was like at the turn of 20th century; participants will hand wrap and weigh Hershey’s Kisses, and sort and pack chocolate bars. Additional hands-on activities include tasting and grinding cocoa nibs, and holding real cocoa beans and cocoa pods. Activities will take place in the classroom, and a calming room will be available.
The cost is $9 per participant, which includes all of the special activities as well as admission to the Museum Experience. Preregistration is not required. For more information about The Hershey Story Museum, including a list of upcoming activities, visit HersheyStory.org.
