On Thursday, April 5, 2018, Soccer Shots, a franchise company that provides a popular children’s soccer program with a focus on character development, unveiled its new National Support Center in Middletown during an open house and Soccer Shots program demonstration. The new 16,0000-square-foot building is a joint venture between Soccer Shots Franchising and Soccer Shots Harrisburg/York, and is three times larger than its previous headquarters.
Among the features of its new center, located at 1020 S. Eisenhower Boulevard behind the Harrisburg Christian Performing Arts Center, are a youth-size indoor futsal court with a second-floor observation deck for parents and an outdoor natural grass soccer field where spring, summer and fall programming can take place. Additionally, the facility will host operator training sessions, on-field coach training and more.
Soccer Shots was recently named the official 2 to 5-year-old program of the United States Youth Soccer Association. In Central Pennsylvania, public programs are offered at dozens of locations throughout Camp Hill, Carlisle, Harrisburg, Hershey, Mechanicsburg, Hummelstown, Lancaster, Lebanon and York. The programs are also offered at numerous children’s centers and preschools throughout the region.
In total, there are 116 Soccer Shots franchises operating across 37 states and Canada. Soccer Shots was founded 20 years ago by Jason Webb, a native of Central Pennsylvania who played soccer at Messiah College and then with the Charlotte Eagles and Harrisburg HEAT; and by Jeremy Sorzano, a teammate of Webb’s at Messiah and the Charlotte Eagles.
