Easter egg hunts in Central Pa.

Easter is quickly approaching, and that means the calendar is filled with Easter egg hunts all around the community.

Heres a look at some of Central Pennsylvanias Easter egg hunts:

Cumberland County

Mechanicsburg Easter Egg Hunt. Age categories include 0-2, 3-4, 5-7 and 8-10.

Where: Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Park, Mechanicsburg When: 11 a.m., Saturday, April 5 Cost: FREE

Egg-A-Rama. All children ages 2 to 12 are welcome to come test their egg-hunting skills! Registration begins at 10 a.m. and includes snacks, eggs, crafts, entertainment and much more.

Where: Capital Area Christian Church, 1775 Lambs Gap Road, Mechanicsburg When: 10 a.m.-noon, Saturday, April 19 Cost: Free

Lower Allen Township Annual Easter Egg Hunt: Children 3 years old and younger will hunt for eggs at 10 a.m. at the Upper Pavilion, while children 4-6 years old will be at the Keystone Pavilion at 10:20 a.m. There is also a hunt for 7-10 year olds at the Lower Pavilion at 10:40 a.m. Children should bring their own baskets, and there will be candy and goody bags for each child.

Crones Tae Kwon Do School Annual Easter Egg Hunt: Not only can children (ages 3-11) participate in an egg hunt, but they can also enjoy games, activities, vendor booths, a bake sale and more. Pre-register at

Where: 24 E. Main St., New Kingstown When: Saturday, April 5 Cost: FREE

East Pennsboro Township Community Easter Egg Hunt. For children 2-6 years old.

Where: Adam-Ricci Park, 100 E. Penn Drive, Enola When: 2 p.m., Saturday, April 12 Cost: FREE

Hampden Township Easter Egg Hunt. Open for Hampden Township children ages 2-8.

Where: Hampden Park, Mechanicsburg When: 10 a.m., Saturday, April 12 Cost: FREE

South Middleton Township Easter Egg Hunt. Open for children 2-8. The Easter Bunny will make an appearance.

Where: Spring Meadows Park, Boiling Springs When: 11 a.m., Saturday, April 12 Cost: FREE

Good Shepherd Community United Methodist Church Easter Egg Hunt. Children can have Breakfast with The Easter Bunny following the egg hunt. There will also be games and crafts.

Where: Good Shepherd Community United Methodist Church, 2134 Ritner Highway, Carlisle When: 9-10:30 a.m., Saturday, April 12 Cost: Free

Dauphin County

AACA Museum Easter Egg Hunt. The Easter Bunny will visit the museum from 11 a.m.-1, then children 0-10 years old can enjoy Easter egg hunts. Also enjoy hot dogs and popcorn.

Where: AACA Museum, 161 Museum Drive, Hershey When: 1 p.m., Saturday, April 12 Cost: $10 for adults; children and teens: FREE

Dauphin County Easter Egg Hunt. Children 2-9 years old can search for thousands of eggs filled with candy. Hunts broken by age groups. Other activities include pony rides and face painting.

Where: Fort Hunter Park, 5300 N. Front St., Harrisburg When: 2-5 p.m., Sunday, April 13 Cost: FREE

Susquehanna Valley EFC Community Easter Egg Hunt. Open to ages 0-12. Other activities for children available, as well as concession stand.

Where: Susquehanna Evangelical Free Church, 6433 Union Deposit Road, Harrisburg When: 11 a.m., Saturday, April 12 Cost: Free

Lancaster County

Lancaster Countys Largest Free Easter Egg Hunt. This years hunt will feature more than 40,000 eggs for children 0-12 years old to find. There will also be free food and games and prizes for all ages.

Where: New Life Assembly of God Church, 1991 Old Philadelphia Pike, Lancaster When: 9 a.m.-noon, Saturday, April 12 Cost: FREE

Leola Community Egg Wise Sage Hunt. Children from toddlers through 3rd grade can enjoy an egg hunt, while children in 4th-6th grades will hunt for wise sages. There will also be a puppet show and singing and dancing.

Where: Zion Lutheran Church, 18 Quarry Road, Leola When: 1-3 p.m., Saturday, April 12 Cost: FREE

Egg-Stravaganza. Kids can enjoy egg hunts by age groups as well as face painting, crafts and a visit from the Easter Bunny.

Where: South Mountain YMCA Camps, 201 Cushion Peak Road, East Cocalico Twp. When: 10-11:30 a.m., Saturday, April 19 Cost: FREE

Lititz Lions 68th Easter Egg Hunt. Open for children 1-10. There will be 4,000 eggs filled with candy and an extra 200 eggs with a special gift. Hunts are broken up by age group.

Where: Bonfield Elementary School, 101 N. Oaks St., Lititz When: 10:30 a.m., Saturday, April 19 Cost: Free

York County

York Revolutions Fan Fest. Children can hunt for eggs in the outfield!

Where: Santander Stadium, 5 Brooks Robinson Way, York When: 2 p.m., Saturday, April 19 Cost: FREE

Easter Egg Hunt and Hot Dog Lunch. After kids hunt for Easter eggs, families can enjoy a hot dog lunch.

Where: Lewisberry United Methodist Church, 309 Market St., Lewisberry When: Noon, Saturday, April 12 Cost: FREE

Teen Easter Egg Night Hunt. This is a special event just for teenagers (12-19 years old). Bring a flashlight and search for eggs at night!

Where: Wethersfield Park, Constitution Ave, New Freedom When: 7 p.m., Friday, April 11 Cost: $5

York Easter Egg Hunt. Open to children 8 and under with a lunch offered after the hunt.

Where: Kiwanis Lake/Farquhar Park, N. Newberry St., York When: 1-3 p.m., Saturday, April 12 Cost: Free

12th Annual Easter Egg Hunt. Children 10 years and younger can enjoy an Easter egg hunt and meet the Easter Bunny.

Where: The Markets of Shrewsbury, 12025 Susquehanna Trail, Glen Rock When: 10 a.m., Saturday, April 19 Cost: Free

Spring Fest and Easter Apple Hunt. Kids 1-12 years old can participate in Central Pennsylvanias only apple hunt! There will also be face painting, egg dyeing and more.

Where: Flinchbaughs Orchard Farm Market, 110 Ducktown Road, Hellam When: 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Saturday, April 19 Cost: $5 per child
